A frightening incident unfolded at Southridge Mall in Greendale, Wisconsin, when a 6-year-old girl fell from the second-floor escalator while playing. The girl, her father, and stepmother had just exited the escalator when, attempting a risky maneuver, she lost her grip and fell to the first floor below.
The father reported hearing the girl say, “Hey, look what I can do,” before witnessing the fall. Despite immediate assistance from first responders, the girl sustained injuries, complaining of back and arm pain during her hospital stay. Fortunately, she has since been released.
Eyewitnesses, including Riley Zacharias, who was working at the mall, were shocked by the incident. The surveillance footage, believed to capture the accident, indicates that the fall was accidental. The community expresses relief that the young girl survived the ordeal.
