Arrest Made After Stabbing on Party Bus in Cedar Rapids

On March 8, 2024, a stabbing incident occurred on a party bus traveling on U.S. Highway 30 in Marshalltown, Iowa. The bus was transporting adults returning from a business event in Des Moines. The victim, a 41-year-old man from Cedar Rapids, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Unity Point Health-Marshalltown Hospital.

Jesse Davis, a 32-year-old from Cedar Rapids, was located at the hospital and taken into custody without resistance. Davis faces charges of Assault with Willful Injury and Going Armed with Intent. Preliminary investigations suggest that the incident was an isolated altercation between Davis and the victim, who had a prior disagreement. The case is currently under investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities are working to gather more details about the incident.
