A north Iowa man, Nathan Barney of Clear Lake, has been charged following a vehicle accident on Friday night. The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident, which occurred west of Lark Avenue on 255th Street. The investigation revealed that Barney’s 2006 Buick crossed the center line and collided with a 2010 Ford Edge driven by Kelly Adkins of Mason City. Adkins sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Mercy One North Iowa by Mason City Fire Medics.
Barney was arrested and charged with OWI 1st Offense and driving on the wrong side of the roadway. He was taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail, with assistance from Mason City Fire Medics.
