Des Moines police are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred overnight. The incident resulted in the death of a 30-year-old man from West Des Moines, while a 13-year-old passenger from Des Moines is reported to be in stable condition.

The crash took place at the intersection of Indianola Avenue and Pine Avenue, just before 11 p.m. on Sunday. According to officers, the vehicle was making a turn onto Indianola when it left the road and collided with a utility pole.
