A Palo man sustained injuries in Fairfax after a small explosion and fire occurred at a trailer on Friday morning. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office reported that first responders were dispatched to the 4300 block of Morgan Bridge Boulevard for a structure fire just before 7 a.m.
According to deputies, the man was burned while working at his work trailer when a generator backfired, leading to the ignition of nearby flammable materials, resulting in the explosion and fire.
The injured man was transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
